London Town Bagatelle - Made by Chad Valley, undated, late 1940's or early 1950's. Cardboard with five wooden balls, tin cups and steel spring ejector.
Before embarking on a game I always read the instructions, even when in this case they consist of just three sentences.
The game in play.
A gallery of the principal characters, six typical Londoners going about their daily business without a care in the world.
Success depends upon sensitive finger-tip control of the spring ejector's ring. Should your fingers fail you and your balls fail to score, you do get to shoot again if any balls land in the "All Dead Balls Back" cup.
The design of the ejector required a circular hole to made in the side of the box lid.
A simple but attractive game of its type and time.
