GRINLING GIBBONS IN LONDON
A day out in London devoted to the "Michelangelo of Wood" the incredible Grinling Gibbons 1648-1721.
Never heard of him? We'll see works from all periods of his career, some of his haunts, dispell a couple of myths and look at some rare memorabilia.

We meet just after breakfast at the V&A and finish close to the Tower of London in a pub.

Along the route we'll be exploring inside fascinating buildings and taking breaks for coffee and lunch. We will use the tube and possibly a bus so you'll need a travel card, Oyster or contactless ticket.

We won't be visiting anywhere that charges an additional entrance fee. After the walk I'll be sharing a guide to other places where you can see his work.
